Hotel Mazatlán is a mixed-use project spanning an oceanfront hotel and a luxury apartment tower in the historical zone of this emblematic beach town on the Pacific. The project seeks to capture the stretch’s modernist design history in murals, curved corners, and geometric latticework, while introducing contemporary architectural possibilities like double-height atriums. A central focus of the project is the sea itself: guests arriving at the property are met by a sprawling, open lobby with eyelines that carry one’s view directly out onto the horizon.
