Casa Nido is a contemporary tree house that plays on staggered levels to reveal intimate niches, like a patio with mountain views and a private dining area that looks out on the home’s centralized plunge pool. At the heart of the home is a winding, angular staircase that connects all of the spaces and functions as a striking sculptural object, as well. Deep gray stone and black steelwork in the rest of the home contrast against the warm wood of the staircase—a nod to the home’s Monterrey surroundings, both rocky and arid.
